EAST MONTPELIER — A Marshfield man has been cited by Vermont State Police because they say he was driving under the influence.

Chas Burbank, 23, was driving on Snow Hill Road in East Montpelier on Wednesday when state police say he drove off the travel portion of the road. After the vehicle went off the road, state police say, Burbank got out of the vehicle and was met by state police.

After an investigation, state police say, he was determined to be driving under the influence.

Burbank is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Aug. 14 to answer the charge.
