• Waterbury man facing DUI charge

    WATERBURY — Vermont State Police say a Waterbury man has been cited on suspicion of driving under the influence.

    Alex D. Sargeant, 26, was driving on Route 100 in Waterbury shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday when he was pulled over by state police. After an investigation, state police say, it was discovered that Sargeant was driving under the influence.

    He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Aug. 21.
