ST. JOHNSBURY — No library cards are needed for the Little Free Library in St. Johnsbury, the latest one in Vermont — just another book to replace the one you’re taking out to read.
The Caledonian Record reported that Little Free Libraries are a trend in which people create storage spaces for books, generally designed as miniature houses. Some are as large as an old telephone booth.
The libraries are close to the road. Passers-by are encouraged to borrow, take or add books.

James Herold designed theirs to be a replica of their home.MORE IN Vermont NewsPHILADELPHIA — With his presidential campaign officially over, independent Sen. Full Story
