• Solar firm expands reach
     | July 17,2014

SHARON — SunCommon announced the expansion of its solar program into Orange and Windsor counties with a gathering Tuesday at Sharon Academy.

The company was launched in central Vermont two years ago with a mission to increase access to solar energy among “everyday Vermonters” and dramatically increase the number of solar installations in the state.

“SunCommon is thrilled to be expanding into this new corner of the state,” said Duane Peterson, SunCommon’s co-president, in a news release. “The Upper Valley already boasts significant solar, but there’s still tremendous work ahead to reach our state’s goal of 90 percent renewable energy.”
