• Storm damages F-16s in Vermont
    July 12,2014

SOUTH BURLINGTON — The Vermont National Guard says a number of F-16 fighter jets were damaged during a storm earlier this week.

The Guard says a storm on Tuesday night caused the hangar doors at the Burlington Air National Guard station to collapse inward and damage the aircraft.

The Guard would not say how many F-16s were damaged.

Members from the F-16 Aircraft Depot from Hill Air Force Base plan to visit next week to assess the damage.

The Guard says it does not yet have a monetary estimate of how much damage was caused.
