• Prosecutor to discuss investigation of child death

    BURLINGTON - The county prosecutor is going to be talking about the investigation into the death of a 15-month old Winooski boy.

    Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan is holding a news conference Thursday to discuss the Vermont State Police investigation of the death of Peighton Geraw.

    The boy was found dead April 4 less than an hour after a social worker from the Department for Children and Families visited the apartment where he lived.

    Peighton's mother, 28-year-old Nytosha Laforce, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in the death of her son. Her boyfriend, Tyler Chicoine, has admitted lying to a police officer and agreed to a plea deal.

    Donovan tells the Burlington Free Press no other charges will be brought in the case.
