WOODBURY — George Paul Lisi passed away peacefully at his home on July 3, 2014, after many years of illness. George was born on Feb. 8, 1952 in Philadelphia, son of Flora and Al Lisi. He was a naturalist, poet, meditator and teacher.

A gentle soul of profound perception, George was dearly loved by his community and his students at Wisdom of the Herbs School, where he taught with Annie McCleary. The kernel of his life was working deep within the Light in service to all beloved beings in these rapidly changing times.

He is predeceased by his sister, Carol.

There will be a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, music starting at 11:15 a.m. The celebration starts at 11:30 a.m., at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier. Donations in his memory may be made to Wisdom of the Herbs School, 1005 County Road, East Calais, Vermont 05650.
