• Transparency expert set to speak

    SHELBURNE — Campaign for Vermont has announced that it will be hosting a leading expert on government transparency on July 21 at Shelburne Museum’s Pizzagali Center.

    Waldo Jaquith is a leading expert on open data, the practice of publishing government data for the purpose of increased transparency and accountability.

    The event will mark the first in the “For Vermont” series. In this series, Campaign for Vermont said it will be “assembling experts on issues important to Vermonters and bringing together thought-leaders and change makers in a casual, informative evening.”

    The event on July 21 will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for the general public and $20 for partners and can be purchased online at www.campaignforvermont.org/tickets. Guests cost $10.
