• Traffic stop yields DUI citation

    STOWE — Vermont State Police say a Stowe man has been cited for driving under the influence.

    Matthew Hess, 32, was driving on Route 100 in Stowe late Friday night when he was pulled over for an expired registration and a defective exhaust. After an investigation, state police say he was found to be driving under the influence.

    Hess is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County criminal court on July 23 to answer the charge.
