    It’s the law

John Anderson’s satire on the Boy Scouts was hilarious. Thanks for a good morning laugh.

As to the issue at hand and to address those who didn’t “get” your humor, it is not political “correctness” to avoid discriminating against a protected class of people, of which non-heterosexual people are: It’s the law. Judging by the vitriolic and vindictive responses to a mere question about the Boy Scouts’ national anti-gay policy, this class obviously do need protection.

There are similar laws protecting free speech and ones protecting freedom of religion. So would it be considered “correctness” if there were objections to a Christian denied the role of Scout leader? How about a person of color? A woman, maybe?
