    A different time

Vermont used to be a tolerant, live-and-let-live place. That was then; this is now.

Now if your opinions, positions and policies are not “correct,” you can’t make a speech or sell bottled water.

The letters to the editor page is an appropriate place for radicals to vent their spleen. Jay Moore did exactly that in the June 24 edition. Moore’s vicious anti-Rice/Bush screed says he may surpass his hero Noam Chomsky in anti-American radicalism.

The scary part is that he was ever allowed to teach his version of history to the innocent youth for which he professes concern.

Another scary thing is that anyone presumably so intelligent and educated was so easily brainwashed into this level of hate.
