AG warning eyes promotion scam
MONTPELIER ó The Vermont Attorney Generalís office is warning people about a promotional flyer being mailed to consumers in the northeastern part of the state that offers free airline tickets and hotel accommodations.
The attorney general says the advertisement is intended to lure people into a sales promotion that violates the Vermont Consumer Protection Rule on Bait Advertising.

The seminars are led by high pressure sales teams in area hotel conference rooms where people are persuaded to buy a membership in a discount travel club, but the memberships do not provide what was promised.
Last year, the attorney generalís office shut down a number of such operations.MORE IN This Just InWASHINGTON ó Two senior Islamic State group leaders were killed in U.S. Full StoryVATICAN CITY ó Pope Francis rightly got credit for helping bring the U.S. Full StoryMAIDUGURI, Nigeria ó Islamic extremists killed 35 people and kidnapped at least 185 in an attack...
