• CEO of King Arthur Flour stepping down

    NORWICH - The CEO of King Arthur Flour in Vermont is planning to step down next month.

    CEO Steve Voigt has led the company since 1999.

    Voight's tenure spanned the 200-year-old company's transition from a family-owned business to an employee-owned one.

    Vermont Public Radio reports a company news release says Voigt is leaving to work with other employee-owned companies and with Benefit Corporations, a class of businesses in valuing social and environmental qualities.

    The company said its board of directors has selected four senior employees to form a team to lead King Arthur on June 30.
