CONCORD — Phyllis Rae (Morehouse) Wood, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at her home in Concord.
She was born in St. Johnsbury on Feb. 28, 1930, the youngest of the six children of George and Annie Hale Morehouse. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Concord.
After graduation from Concord High School, Phyllis was employed by the Ralston Purina Co. in St. Johnsbury.

She has been an active member of the Concord Historical Society. She spent many hours cooking, sewing and crafting, canning, and “running the roads” to be sure the kids never missed a school activity or event despite the chores of life on the farm.
