    Write in Isabelle

    Dear Barre Town voters:

I would like to encourage the voters of Barre Town to write in JP Isabelle for the position of Select Board member on Tuesday, at the annual town meeting. Perhaps it is the proud dad in me that leads me to write this. After all, he has chosen to get all of his schooling in Barre Town, Spaulding High School, Saint Michael’s College and Vermont Law School. He has chosen to be a taxpayer of the town by purchasing property. He already has served on the Recreation Board and recently on the budget committee. Perhaps it is the experiences he has gained by working for former Gov. Howard Dean, Sen. Patrick Leahy, Sen. James Jeffords and Sen. Bernie Sanders. While all those experiences have prepared him, the real reason he deserves your consideration and support is that he is the exact opposite of the very thing that many people in this state and community complain about. He has chosen to stay in his hometown and state, he takes pride in his hometown, and most of all he represents the young generation that people complain about not being involved.

He represents the future that is so vital in assuring that our town continues on a positive path. Write in his name, JP Isabelle, on Tuesday. Polls are open at Barre Town Elementary and Middle School, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    J. Guy Isabelle
