Patricia Ann Rossi Rites
BARRE — A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Patricia Ann Rossi, of North Parkside Terrace, who passed away on April 23, 2014, at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.
The Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, pastor of the church, was the celebrant.
Crucifer Henry Bilodeau was altar server and led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied singers Romeo Bilodeau and Ronald Routhier in the hymns “Amazing Grace,” “Your Words, Lord, Are Spirit and Life,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “Song of Farewell” and “How Great Thou Art.” Soloist Rosemary Badeau sang “Ave Maria.”
Words of remembrance were shared by her daughter-in-law, Maurissa Bunnell.
Scripture readings from the Old Testament were read by Maggie Gilman, a family friend, and Maryssa Rossi, granddaughter, read Scriptures from the New Testament.
Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Samantha Rossi and Ruby Bunnell, both granddaughters, and Maggie Gilman, a family friend.
Assisting as Eucharistic minister was Cecile Carbonneau, a family friend.
Pallbearers were Trevor Rossi and Mychal Bunnell, both grandsons; Jamerson Tofani, Mike Ziter and Scott Phillips, friends; and Maurice Soucy.
Father Bilodeau led a prayer service, with the family, Sunday afternoon at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre. After the prayer service, a prerecorded song, “In the Arms of an Angel” by Sarah McLachlan, was played.
Entombment followed the Mass at the Elmwood vault in Barre. A later burial will take place at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center.
Following the Mass, family and friends gathered in the church dining room for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
