• Suspect in Hinesburg shooting held; victim stable

    BURLINGTON — A 71-year-old Vermont man is being held without bail after he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and aggravated assault in the shooting and wounding of one of his daughters and assault of another family member.

    Police say the incidents followed an argument at a Hinesburg residence just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

    Police say Kenneth Clark shot 44-year-old Dawn Hall in the hand and chest. Hall was hospitalized in stable condition.

    Clark was charged with one count of attempted murder in the shooting of Hall. A second charge of first degree aggravated domestic assault with a weapon involved another relative.

    Clark was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
