WILLIAMSTOWN — The service to honor the life of Beverly Alma Guild, of Hebert Road, was held Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre. A longtime winter resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., she died April 5, 2014, at the Suncoast Hospice Center in Pinellas Park, Fla.
The Rev. Leopold Bilodeau, pastor of St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre, led the celebration and was the homilist. He also led the congregation in the songs “You Are Mine” and the prerecorded song by Bobby Vinton, “My Special Angel.” The musical interlude was the prerecorded song “Together Again” that had been selected by Beverly.
Her great-grandson, Kevin Guild, read from the Old Testament, and the New Testament was proclaimed by nephew Michael Lewis. Granddaughter Andrea Guild led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Kevin also shared a memory of his great-grandmother’s cat, Cinco.
The honorary bearers were grandsons David, Steven and Matthew Guild and Jon Taylor; great-grandson Kevin Guild; and family friend Kevin Bador.
Fellowship, a sharing time and luncheon followed at the Hilltop Restaurant in Barre Town.
