BURLINGTON - The congregation of a Vermont church that was damaged by an arson fire are is once again worshipping in the building
Six months after a fire in its steeple, the College Street Congregational Church re-opened its doors on Sunday, Easter.
The Rev. Ken White says the building's reopening is a metaphor for the resurrection Easter symbolizes.
The Oct. 23 fire caused at least $1 million damage and the mid-19th century bell tower could not be saved.
A man who told police that "voices" had told him to go into the church, but who had no memory of setting the fire, pleaded guilty to arson.
White asked the congregation to pray for the man convicted of setting the fire.MORE IN This Just In
