• Isabelle seeks write-in vote
    April 17,2014

With the recent resignation on the Barre Town Select Board, there is a one-year term to be filled in the May 13 town meeting via write-in vote. I am pleased to announce I intend to seek the seat and hope that Barre Town voters will write my name in.

I am a lifelong Barre Town resident and Spaulding High School, St. Michael’s College and Vermont Law School graduate. I am proud to continue to call Barre Town home. I have served on the Recreation Board, as justice of the peace, and most recently served on the Budget Committee. We are fortunate in Barre Town to have some of the lowest tax rates in the county, but we also offer some of the best schools and municipal services as well. It is not easy to maintain this balance, and I hope to be a part of that discussion as a member of the Select Board.

Our community has a bright future. We will soon see an expansion of the bike path and more activities and interest in the newly created town forest. The businesses in Wilson Industrial Park offer the community good jobs and we will continue to see the park thrive. As we progress, Barre Town will remain a destination for families to live and business to grow.

I hope Barre Town voters will write-in my name on May 13 for the one year Select Board term. I look forward to working with you.
