• Barre Town Police Log: Animal complaints abound

    The following is a sampling of calls to Barre Town police in recent days.



    April 9

    A citizen dispute occurred on East Montpelier Road.

    On MacLean Road, there was an animal problem.

    A suspicious vehicle was reported on Leo Avenue but was gone when an officer arrived.



    April 10

    A theft was reported somewhere in town.

    On Websterville Road, a tractor-trailer was blocking the road.

    There was an animal problem on Balsam Drive.

    Fraud was reported somewhere in town.



    April 11

    An animal problem was reported on Beckley Hill Road.

    A vehicle was pulled over on Websterville Road for having defective equipment.

    An animal problem was reported on Church Hill Road.



    April 12

    A vehicle on Graniteville Road was pulled over for not having an inspection sticker.

    A citizen dispute occurred on Moonlight Drive.

    Illegal burning was reported on Rudd Farm Road.



    April 13

    There was an animal problem on Mekleson Road.

    A vehicle was stopped on Route 63 for going too slow.

    There was an animal problem somewhere in town.



    April 14

    A suspicious vehicle was reported on East Montpelier Road.

    Juveniles were smashing bottles in a roadway somewhere in town.

    A suspicious male was on Prospect Street.
