    South Burlington 10, Rutland 7

SOUTH BURLINGTON — The young Radiers’ squad has been consistently improving in one facet of their game or another early on this season, and that was no different on Tuesday.

“We did really well with the ball control today,” Rutland coach Kate Herlihy said. “It was close throughout.”

Logan Boyle led Rutland’s scoring attack with three goals. Kristina Bellomo notched two scores, and Marina Rotella and Alyssa Sabotka each added goals.

Amanda Haldey played well in the net, recording 10 saves.

“(Hadley) is new at this, and I’m really proud of her,” Herlihy said. “She has impressed me and is improving.”

Sarah Fisher fired in three goals to lead South Burlington, which improves to 3-0.

Rutland falls to 1-2 and travels to take on Mount Mansfield on Friday.

“We just have to tighten our defense,” Herlihy said. “We feel good, though.”
