• Barre Police Log: Driver runs others off road

    The following is a sampling of calls to Barre City police in recent days.



    April 7

    A needle and a dark bottle with something inside were found under a tree on North Main Street.

    On Smith Street, someone stole the license plate off a vehicle.

    An Xbox 360 and games were stolen on Washington Street.

    An aggressive pit bull was on Hill Street.

    On Cliff Street, a woman reported her money stolen and someone was using her credit cards without her permission.

    A two-car crash occurred on South Main Street around 10:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.



    April 8

    A checkbook was lost on North Main Street.

    On South Main Street, a male with dark hair and a dark jacket hit a female at a bus stop.

    A female kept walking into a man’s apartment and stealing things on Foster Street.

    On North Main Street, a yellow Lab was running in the road.

    A male dressed in all black urinated in front of a woman on North Main Street.

    Four kids dumped a Dollar General cart in the river near Gusto’s.

    On South Main Street, a ring was stolen by a woman’s sister, who refused to give it back.



    April 9

    A loud noise from a movie that residents on Keith Avenue were watching shook the building.

    Someone stole car keys and motorcycle keys as well as a few movies from a man’s car on Mount Street.

    A large boxer was running around on Park Street.

    On Circle Street, a checkbook was stolen.

    A dog inside a North Main Street business walked up to a male and sniffed his crotch.

    Kids were throwing around a yellow shopping cart on Summer Street.



    April 10

    A bus cut in front of a woman driving on North Seminary Street and almost hit her.

    Suspected drug activity was happening on South Main Street.

    People were using drugs inside a Pleasant Street building.



    April 11

    A two-car crash occurred on South Main Street around 10:45 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    Medication was reported stolen from a man’s Mount Vernon Place apartment.

    A strange smell, possibly marijuana, was detected outside an East Street residence.

    An iPod was reported missing on Chatot Street.



    April 12

    Someone smashed the windshield on a truck on Reynolds Street.

    A 2001 Land Rover was reported stolen on Brooklyn Street.

    On Currier Park, a used syringe was found.

    Someone broke in and vandalized an apartment on Spaulding Street.



    April 13

    Someone was running a chain saw at around 8 p.m. on Foster Street.

    On Washington Street, someone was driving a small silver or gray vehicle erratically and had driven four vehicles off the road.

    A man on Church Street was pepper-sprayed and then had his wallet stolen with more than $1,000 in cash inside.

    On Mount Street, a wallet and cellphone were reported stolen.
