    Cars, porch damaged in crash

WILLIAMSTOWN — Three cars and a front porch were damaged in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Route 14 moments after midnight on Sunday.

All of the cars were parked and no one was hurt, according to state police who said the driver responsible left the scene of the accident and is actively being sought.

According to police, the driver, who was heading down Route 64 shortly after midnight on Sunday, attempted to turn left on to Route 14, but went off the road instead.

Police said the driver’s vehicle slammed into two parked cars and the front porch of a Route 14 home and then drove off, hitting a third vehicle in the process.

Based on their investigation, police say the vehicle involved probably has front-end damage, as well as damage to the rear driver’s side. Anyone with information about the accident is urged to contact the state police barracks in Middlesex at 229-9191.
