    Man faces third alcohol charge

WILLIAMSTOWN – An 18-year-old Williamstown man is facing his third alcohol-related charge after he was questioned by state police early Sunday morning.

State police were in town investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Route 14 nearly three hours earlier when they spoke to Alex Lessard on Route 64 shortly before 3 a.m.

During the course of that conversation, police said they determined Lessard was intoxicated and they cited him for possession or consumption of alcohol.

Lessard, who police said has two prior civil offenses, is expected to be charged with his third when he is arraigned on June 4 at the criminal courthouse in Chelsea.
