    Edith L. Damgaard Rites

    WILLIAMSTOWN — The funeral service and celebration of the life of Edith Lucille Damgaard, 93, of The Gardens, was held in the Williamstown United Federated Church Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 11 a.m.

    Carolyn Peake, chaplain at The Gardens in Williamstown, presided. Organist Stephen Morse accompanied the congregation in the hymns, “In the Garden,” “Hymn of Promise” and “Amazing Grace.” He also offered words of remembrance along with Edith’s cousin, Kirsten McEdward, friends from the First Baptist Church of Montpelier, fellow residents of The Gardens and old friends from Edith’s younger days in New York and New Jersey.

    Fellowship and luncheon followed in the church hall.

    Interment will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, N.J., where she will be buried beside her loving husband, Viktor.

    The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, Vt., was in charge of the arrangements.
