• Police investigate tool theft

    EAST MONTPELIER — State police are seeking information about the theft of equipment from a vehicle parked on Sodom Pond Road on Sunday.

    According to a news release, sometime between the hours of 3:30 p.m. on March 1 and 8 a.m. on Sunday, chains, Interstate batteries and cables were stolen from a construction vehicle on Sodom Pond Road in East Montpelier.

    State police are asking for anybody with further information about this incident to contact the Central Vermont Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-529-9998 or the Vermont State Police in Middlesex at (802)-229-9191.
