MONTPELIER — Vermont officials say they will be hosting a forum on sourcing and featuring Vermont-made foods.

The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing said it will be held March 20 with Newport City Renaissance Executive Director Patricia Sears. Sears will talk about the Northeast Kingdom Tasting Center.

Officials said the forum is part of a series created by the state Department of Tourism and Marketing and the state’s Travel and Recreation Council called the TRC Trending Topics.

According to a news release, council members devote a half hour during their meetings to brainstorm ideas with stakeholders and industry leaders about big topics in tourism.

Future topics will include Vermont’s fishing and hunting opportunities, the artisan beverage industry and best practices in social media.
