WATERBURY — A Waterbury man was arrested after another Waterbury resident accused him of assault late Thursday, according to Vermont State Police.

Police went to a residence in Waterbury after Clement Despault, 50, called and said he had been assaulted by Anthony Maskell, 29, according to a news release. State police said they found Maskell shortly afterward and cited him on charges of simple assault, burglary and violating conditions of his release from other cases.

He was due in court Friday to answer to the charges.
