    Red Sox trophies touring state

BURLINGTON — The 2004, 2007 and 2013 Red Sox World Series trophies will visit Vermont this weekend, making stops in Burlington, Colchester and Lyndon on Sunday.

The trophies will start off in Colchester from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic at Mallets Bay. The trophies will then travel to Ruben James Restaurant on Main Street in Burlington, where they will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The tour will finish with a showing in Lyndon at the Lyndon Institute Auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All three stops are open to the public and will feature a visit from Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster. The trip will mark the first time the 2013 trophy has been to Vermont for a public event.

The trophies will also be making appearances in New Hampshire this weekend, wrapping up a four-weekend, six-state tour of New England. Afterward, the trophies will head south for spring training.
