• Police seek help in LBJ robbery

    WORCESTER Ė State police are now asking for tips that could help them solve an early morning burglary that occurred nearly a week ago at LBJís Grocery on Route 12.

    According to police, the crime was committed shortly before 1:30 a.m. last Tuesday by four individuals who were all wearing dark clothing, hooded sweatshirts and facemasks.

    Several cartons of cigarettes were reportedly stolen along with a number of bottles of wine, police said.

    Those responsible were allegedly seen leaving the scene in a dark colored truck.

    Anyone with information that may aid in the investigation of the incident is urged to contact Trooper Amber Haag at the state police barracks in Middlesex at 229-9191, or Central Vermont Crime Stoppers at 476-9999.
