• Woman escapes flaming vehicle

    BOLTON — A Northfield woman’s car caught fire Thursday on Interstate 89 in Bolton, according to Vermont State Police.

    Tina Smith had been having engine problems and pulled over to the northbound shoulder when she noticed flames coming from the engine compartment, police say.

    Smith was able to get out of the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames.
