     | January 08,2014

MIDDLESEX Vermont State Police say a Grand Isle truck driver who crashed his tractor-trailer Sunday evening was driving with a suspended license.

Jason Raymond, 36, was northbound on Interstate 89 in Middlesex when he slid off the road after swerving to avoid another vehicle that also had slid off the highway, police said. The trailer of the truck became stuck in a snowbank off the shoulder of the interstate.

While assisting Raymond, state police say they discovered he had a criminally suspended license. The truck was removed, and Raymond was cited to appear in Washington County criminal court Feb. 27 to answer the charge.
