Vt revenue sources up in Dec.
MONTPELIER ó The stateís three main sources of income brought in more money than projected last month, Vermont Secretary of Administration Jeb Spaulding said Monday while releasing the revenue figures for the general, transportation and education funds.
The general fund revenues for December were $118.5 million, almost 3.6 percent ahead of projections.
The transportation fund came in at almost $19.45 million, 3.2 percent ahead of forecasts and the education fund at $13.9 million, 0.13 percent ahead of projections.
December was the sixth month of the fiscal year. Year-to-date, the general fund was up almost 0.5 percent and transportation just under 2 percent, while the education fund was down almost 0.3 percent.
Total state revenue for the first six months was about $834.6 million, above the forecast of almost $829.5 million.
