JOHNSON — Audrey Anne Lindgren died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Most of her high school education took place in Karlsruhe, Germany, where her father was stationed in the military. Her family returned home to the United States her senior year, and she graduated from North Country High School.
She married Jeffrey Lindgren on Nov. 7, 1981.
After being out of school for 17 years, she attended Johnson State College and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Her family was extremely proud of this accomplishment.
She was a longtime employee of the state of Vermont, working for 16 years in a variety of roles. Her most recent position was working for the Agency of Transportation in the commercial licensing division.
Audrey was an incredible person who loved life, her family, pets and everyone she knew. She was, in turn, loved by everyone because of her kindheartedness to all people and her incredible gift of accepting all individuals and her deep appreciation of their unique characteristics.
