    hitting snowplow

    THETFORD — A 16-year-old driver has suffered serious injuries after his car struck a snowplow Thursday on a slippery road near the border of Thetford and Fairlee.

    Thetford police said Cooper Pierson of Topsham was going south on Route 5 when he lost control of his car and struck a state-owned snowplow. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

    The snowplow operator, 56-year-old Floyd Cadwell of Thetford Center, was not injured.
