Vt. village approves solar contractDecember 20,2013
LYNDONVILLE — Voters in the village of Lyndonville are supporting the local electric department’s plans to enter into power sales agreements to buy energy from out-of-state solar projects in Massachusetts.
The agreement between the village and the Vermont Public Power Supply Authority would be for 35 years. The contract would be slightly less than 10 percent of the total power supply.
The Caledonian Record reported the initial solar project is expected to begin deliveries next fall.
Utilities in Morrisville, Northfield, Johnson and Hardwick also are planning to purchase solar power from the out-of-state developer through the power supply authority.MORE IN This Just InHome fire kills
