    Timothy C. Brooks Rites

    MONTPELIER — A funeral Mass for Timothy C. Brooks, who died at his home on Dec. 9, 2013, was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Christ Episcopal Church.

    The Rev. Paul Habersang and the Rev. Auburn Watersong were celebrants and were assisted by Judy Lawson of the Christ Church and the Rev. Michael Augustinowitz, pastor of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

    Carl Schwartz was organist and led the Episcopal Church choir in singing “Jesu Joy of Man Desiring,” “Ye Holy Angels Bright,” “Amazing Grace” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.”

    Pallbearers were Tim’s two brothers, Billy Brooks and Andrew Brooks, and cousins, Nicholas Campbell, Nick Mango, Chris Mango and Jay Drinker.

    Ushers were Rilla Murray, Jody Pettersen, Paul Harrington and Josh Fitzhugh.

    Words of remembrance were given by Tim’s father, William M. Brooks; two brothers, Billy Brooks and Andrew Brooks; and cousin Nicholas Campbell.

    Burial was held in the family lot in Green Mount Cemetery.

    Family and friends gathered at the Capitol Plaza for a time of remembrance and storytelling.
