BURLINGTON — Vermont police say two more people have pleaded guilty to distributing heroin in the Burlington area.
The Burlington Free Press reported that Bryan Richards and Edward Chavin were charged with selling heroin in 2012 and early 2013.
Authorities said those two and seven other people were peddling a potent form of heroin known as “Chi-town” that was suspected in several overdoses in the area.
Chavin pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to distribute heroin. Richards pleaded guilty to intent to distribute heroin. They are scheduled to be sentenced early next year.
Five others entered guilty pleas earlier this year. The other two are awaiting trial.
Police have said the ring was among the largest to operate in Burlington.MORE IN Vermont NewsLea Davison, Team USA’s best hope for an Olympic medal in mountain biking, loves to see girls on... Full StoryPHILADELPHIA — With his presidential campaign officially over, independent Sen. Full Story
