    How can we fail?

Where banking is concerned, I must admit that I am shamefully very ignorant. Nevertheless, where it comes down to “too big to fail” or “too powerful to control,” we are left with two considerations: Do we want the banks to serve us, or do we want to serve the banks?

A public bank may well be the very answer we are looking for. Should we try a public banking system and hope that if it fails the private banks will bail us out?
