• Two sought in motel robbery

    SHELBURNE — Police are asking for help to find a man and a woman in connection with an assault and robbery at a Shelburne motel.

    Police said the clerk at the North Star Motel was confronted by a man and a woman on Monday afternoon. The clerk was struck by an unidentified wooden object and suffered minor injuries.

    The two left after emptying the cash drawer.

    Police said the man has dark, short, clean-cut hair. He was about 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a brown Carhartt jacket.

    The woman is described as being about 5-foot-2, with a very thin build. She was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, and black sweatpants or running pants with a white logo on the left thigh.
