    December 01,2013

PUTNEY, Vt. (AP) More than two dozen crafts women and men are opening their studios over the long Thanksgiving weekend in the southeastern Vermont area around Putney.

Organizers say the Putney Craft Tour is the oldest in New England.

The tour began Friday and will last through Sunday. It gives shoppers, visitors and collectors the opportunity to see the products from local artisans.

Blacksmiths, glass blowers, potters, jewelers, weavers, woodworkers - even artisan cheese makers - will be inviting visitors to discover their works of art.
