Vt flags lowered to honor JFK
MONTPELIER — Gov. Peter Shumlin ordered that flags in the state be lowered to half staff until sunset today to commemorate Friday’s 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The order is for the Statehouse, all federal and state facilities, and public buildings and grounds across the state.
