     | November 19,2013

WATERBURY — A Barre clinic for uninsured and underinsured central Vermonters is taking appointments for folks who need help evaluating their health insurance options under the state-run exchange.

The People’s Health & Wellness Clinic will be holding a Vermont Health Connect sign-up day at St. Leo’s Hall, 109 S. Main St. in Waterbury, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday. It is arranging for interested residents to receive face-to-face assistance from certified exchange “navigators.”

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 479-1229. People should bring a copy of last year’s tax return, their most recent month’s pay stubs, Social Security numbers for all household members applying, and a list of current medications to aid in choosing a plan that covers them.

Anyone who needs assistance understanding the health insurance options and filling out the application is welcome to make an appointment for a free private session with someone familiar with the state’s new online insurance marketplace.
