Thelma M. Santin Rites
BARRE — A service of remembrance and celebration of life for Thelma M. Santin, 99, formerly of North Barre Manor, was held Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre. She passed away Nov. 10, 2013, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.
The Rev. David Vanderlinde-Abernathy, pastor of the Barre Congregational Church, officiated the service and offered words of remembrance. He also read the 23rd Psalm and two poems, “The River Clarion” and “When Death Comes,” by Mary Oliver, and a prayer, “More,” by Joyce Rupp.
Prerecorded songs by pianist Carl Doy were: “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “The Way We Were.”
The Rev. Vanderlinde-Abernathy offered words of committal at the funeral home.
Burial followed the service at Hope Cemetery in Barre.
Following the burial, the family gathered at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and MaryLou Santin, in Waterbury, for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
