Vt general fund revenues up, transportation down
MONTPELIER The state says that general and education fund revenues were slightly ahead of expectations in October while the transportation fund was just below forecasts.
Administration Secretary Jeb Spaulding said general fund revenues were about 1.75 percent ahead of projections. So far for fiscal year 2014, the revenues are up by just over half a percentage point.
The non-property tax education fund was almost 3 percent above expectations. Year-to-date, the education fund is about 0.8 percent above projections.
Transportation fund receipts in October were below expectations by just below 0.5 percent. But the year-to-date transportation receipts are about 1.15 percent above the target.
Spaulding said the state is pleased with the numbers but officials will remain vigilant for any unanticipated changes.MORE IN This Just InCASTLETON Rutland Post 31 pitcher Andy Kenosh called it mojo.
