BARRE ó Thelma M. Santin, 99, formerly of North Barre Manor, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.
Born in Stowe, Vt., Aug. 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William B. and May L. (Kelley) Miner.
Thelma attended schools in Stowe and Graniteville.
She married Enrico Santin in Plainfield. The couple made their home in Barre, where they raised their family. He passed away in 1974.
Thelma was employed at the former Sprague Electric in Barre as an electronic tester until her retirement in 1982.
Among her interests were playing cards, traveling with her sister Evelyn and spending precious time with her family.
She was a member of the Barre Congregational Church.
Survivors include two sons, William Santin and his wife, Janet, of Barre, and Gary Santin and his wife, MaryLou, of Waterbury; 10 grandchildren, William Santin Jr., of Barre Town, Sherri Mead, of Michigan, Sandi Sicotte, of Colchester, Lee Hayford, of Wilmington, Scott Hayford, of Florida, Heidi Hayford, also of Florida, Tara Luce-Rogers, of Waterbury Center, Stephanie Dobo, of Clifton Park, N.Y., Heidi Cervantes, of Waterbury, and John Reilly, of Glens Falls, N.Y.; as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Carol Guerin, and two sisters, Evelyn Milne and Viola Horner.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre. Burial will follow the service at Hope Cemetery in Barre.
Arrangements are in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre.
