• Cabot man cited in assault

    CABOT — A Cabot man has been cited by Vermont State Police on a charge of simple assault.

    State police responded to an address in Cabot on Wednesday evening for a reported assault. After an investigation, state police said they found probable cause to believe Matthew L. Robinson, 41, committed the crime of simple assault.

    An exact location for the incident and the name of the victim were not given by state police.

    Robinson is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Dec. 19 to answer the charge.
