• Home Share hires new staffer

    BARRE — Home Share Now has announced it has a new staffer as an AmeriCorps member via the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board.

    Joel Rhodes is a recent graduate of Juniata College in Pennsylvania. He has studied in Ireland, has worked in sustainable forestry in Oregon, renovated houses at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and served at a daycare in Mexico.

    Home Share Now cultivates matches for home providers and home seekers to expand the possibilities for how we live, according to a statement from the organization. Facilitating shared housing where services are performed in exchange for affordable housing is about harnessing available opportunity, the release stated.

    Central Vermonters can meet Rhodes and learn more about home sharing at Home Share Now’s next informational session scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 5:30 p.m. at their Barre office located at 105 North Main St.
