7 years on, Waterbury Center man is still missing
WAITSFIELD — Seven years after the disappearance of a Waterbury Center man, law enforcement is renewing its call for help from the public in solving the mystery.
Donald Messier, who was 34 when he went missing, was last seen at a party in Waitsfield on Oct. 15, 2006. Messier reportedly left the party in his red Ford F-150 and hasn’t been heard from since. His truck has not been located.
Messier is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing between 230 and 275 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
According to National Cold Case Missing Persons of Mullica Hill, N.J., Messier may have been injured and unable to get out of a ravine, the woods, a quarry or lake. With hunters soon to be out in the woods, it’s hoped someone may come upon information leading to his whereabouts.
Anyone with information about Messier or the truck is asked to contact Vermont State Police at 229-9191.MORE IN This Just InWeston Playhouse Theatre Company opened its 79th season with a slice of Vermont hick.
